1. Terms of purchase
You accept our purchase and rental conditions when you buy an item and accept the conditions at checkout.
To read our rental conditions, see further down, point 2.
1.1 Products
All goods that can be seen on the website are in Nordic birth's warehouse in Stockholm unless it says that it is sold out.
Nordic birth reserves the right for possible typos on this website, product changes, price adjustments, color deviations and final sale of products.
Nordic birth takes no responsibility for any changes to products or their properties that have been changed by the respective supplier or by other factors beyond our control.
Nordic birth always carefully inspects all goods and products before they are sent on to the customer.
1.2 Suppliers
Nordic birth guarantees that our birth pools live up to their reputation and that our birth pool suppliers are approved distributors via La bassine, Birth pool in a box, Oasis and MiA ViA. This is so that you can feel sure that you are buying products from the respective distributor and not pirated copies (black market products).

1.4 Language
Nordic birth sends orders throughout Sweden, the Nordic countries, the EU and North America. Our website offers languages in Swedish and English. If you need help in other languages, please contact us and we will help you further.
1.5 Price
All products are stated in SEK on the website with respective 6%, 12% or 25% VAT, depending on the product type.
VAT is not included for countries outside the EU and EEA countries. For these countries, VAT is paid in the respective home country.
To choose a currency based on your country, use our drop-down menu at the bottom of the website.
Gift cards cannot be purchased at discounted prices.
1.6 Order confirmation
You will receive a confirmation to the email you entered when you purchased the product. Should any of the information be incorrect, contact hej@nordicbirth.se immediately.
1.7 Method of payment
- For safe and secure payments, we use Klarna checkout. There, as a customer, you can choose to pay directly, invoice 30 days or partial payment.
- You can also choose to pay directly via card payment with us.
- Via our express checkout, you have the opportunity to proceed with Shop pay, Google pay and Apple pay.
- We also offer payment via advance invoice (SEK 69) or to the company's Swish.
1.8 Right to examine the goods
The consumer has the right to examine the product to see what its properties and function are in a way that does not impair the product's quality or value. However, hygiene articles must have unbroken packaging if the customer wants to be able to return the product or regrets their purchase.
1.9 Limitation of Liability
Nordic birth takes no responsibility for delays and/or errors due to external circumstances beyond our control which include force majeure. This also includes incorrectly entered addresses by the customer.
We do not accept responsibility for direct or indirect damages caused by improper use of products. Read more in our Legal Notice.

1.11 Dispute Resolution
If a consumer resident in Sweden and a company cannot come to an agreement, we recommend that the customer contact the Allmänna reclamationsnämnden (ARN).They are an authority that tries disputes between consumers and companies. A decision from ARN is a recommendation on how the dispute should be resolved. Link: https://www.arn.se
For consumers residing in another EU country or Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, we recommend that the customer start a case with the European platform for online dispute resolution. They are provided by the Commission to make online commerce safer and fairer through access to high-quality dispute resolution tools.

Nordic birth reserves the right to change the conditions when necessary and takes place in written form on the website.

2. Lease conditions
Nordic birth rent out products for customers living in Sweden. The right of withdrawal also applies to rental products.
2.1 Terms
By accepting Nordic birth's terms and conditions at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the terms below.
Nordic birth's general rental conditions apply when renting equipment and products aimed at pregnancy and childbirth. Changes to the terms and conditions take place in written form on the current website.
Nordic birth reserves the right for possible typos on this website, price adjustments and color deviations.
As a rental customer, you enter into a rental agreement with Nordic birth when purchasing the current rental product.
2.2 Lessee's responsibility
- As a rental customer of Nordic birth, you are obliged to notify us immediately of damage, loss or missing rental product/accessories in the current package.
- You as the lessee are responsible for the rental products throughout the rental period.
- Liners must be used in birthing pools. If the liner is not used, the rental customer is invoiced for the entire sales amount of the birthing pool.
- The rental product must not be used for anything other than what it was produced for.
- The lessee may not rent out to third parties, lend, pledge, transfer, exchange or sell the rental products.
- If all disposable products are not opened, you will be refunded SEK 600 including VAT. Applies to the rental of a birthing pool.
2.3 Method of payment

2.4 Rental period
The rental period is a total of 6 weeks in order for the customer to have time to return the rental products so that they are back at Nordic birth before the last day of the rental period.
A late fee of SEK 250 is added per week started until the rental products are returned to Nordic birth.
2.5 Price
All prices are stated in SEK including VAT, which are visible on the website.
2.6 Shipping and delivery
Rental products are sent throughout Sweden with an estimated delivery time of between 1-3 working days from when the package is posted. Nordic birth takes no responsibility for delays depending on the current forwarder or other events beyond Nordic birth's control.
Nordic birth reserves the right to send rental products up to 30 days before the start of the rental period.
2.7 Return your rental product
Book your return online or call us on (phone number) to arrange the return. You also have the opportunity to hand in your rental products in our warehouse Mon-Fri 09:00-15:00.
2.8 Unredeemed Packages
Rental products that are sent back to Nordic birth where the renter has not picked up the package in time from the applicable delivery point, it is the renter's obligation to pay the return cost and any additional shipping costs if the renter still wants his rental products.
2.9 Cancellation/Change
Booked rental product must be canceled no later than 30 days before the start of the rental period. A cancellation fee of SEK 250 will then be added.
If the lessee has provided incorrect or changed personal data at the time of purchase, Nordic birth must be informed immediately. This must be informed no later than 30 days before the start date of the rental period.
2.10 Complaint
You always have the right to return rental products with production faults and/or damage. Nordic birth always carefully inspects all rental products before they are sent on to the rental customer.
It is the renter's responsibility to contact Nordic birth immediately via email with information about what happened and pictures. Nordic birth takes full responsibility for the extra costs that are added and to satisfy the rental customer with a new rental product.
2.11 Product damage
The rental products are owned by Nordic birth and are not part of our sales inventory. This means that the customer cannot buy rental products from Nordic birth.
If the products are damaged in a way that makes the product's function impossible during the rental period, we reserve the right to charge for the product's sales amount even in the case of lost rental products.
In which cases does Nordic birth discard rental products that are returned?
We only discard birth pools that have been used, i.e. when a tenant gave birth in the birth pool, without a liner.
Liner is a requirement in our birthing pools to ensure hygiene between each tenant. The liner protects against the spread of blood and infection and increases the durability of the birthing pool. We guarantee every new customer who rents products from us that our products are whole and clean with an emphasis on safety for the person giving birth.
When or how can the customer become liable for payment?
If the rental products are damaged or destroyed in a way that makes the product's function and/or safety standard impossible during the rental period, we reserve the right to charge for the product's sales amount even in the case of lost rental products.
The customer is invoiced with a credit period of 10 days.
2.12 Personal injury
We do not accept responsibility for direct or indirect damages caused by incorrect use of rental products.
2.13 Cleaning
Rental products must be returned in original condition and cleaned, follow the cleaning steps in our birth pool guide at the bottom of the website. Associated bags and cases for rental products must be sent back.
Products that are disposable products for Childbirth Pools are not returned; liner, water hose, heat cap, net.
Products that are disposable products for Ten's device are not returned; electrodes.
Nordic birth reserves the right to invoice the rental customer a cleaning fee of SEK 500 in case of not cleaned rental product. The customer is invoiced with a credit period of 10 days.
What is meant by uncleaned product?
Rental products that have blood spatter, membranes, feces, hair and/or other remains from birth/humans are classified as uncleaned product. These products clean Nordic birth and reserves the right to invoice the tenant a cleaning fee of SEK 500.
