Holistic MSM is pure, distilled MSM from OptiMSM®. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound and functions as a component of collagen. The protein collagen builds up connective tissue, muscles, bones, hair and skin. MSM is also found in grains, legumes, eggs and red meat.
It is a good idea to supplement intake of MSM with vitamin C, as that vitamin increases the absorption of MSM in the body.

Dietary supplements should not be used as an alternative to a varied diet.

Dosage:
Dosage for adults: 2–4 g per day (about 1/2–1 teaspoon) mixed in 2 dl of water, or as recommended. You should step up the dosage. The first week you take 1 g per day (1/4 teaspoon). Then increase the dose by 1 g per week until you reach 2-4 g per day. The recommended dose should not be exceeded. Dietary supplements should not be used as an alternative to a varied diet.
